Going to a music festival. It’s part of the rite of passage of youth in Britain. Sure, other countries do festivals. Your favourite band will spend pretty much their whole summer trucking, weekend after weekend, from Werchter in Belgium, to Benicassim in Spain, to Exit in Serbia, to Øya in Norway. Even America, taking a lead from UK and Europe, now has an established festival circuit, from Tennessee’s Bonnaroo to California’s Coachella.
